The Meads Show Team

"Super So Kalm Powder is perfect for settling the nerves of the worried ones! We put all our horses on it throughout the show season and it makes a big difference. Even when not competing as much we continue to feed it to the anxious ones to help them relax a bit"

Kirsty & Tash Nelson

The Meads Show Team has been storming the ridden show scene since 2016 with super duo Kirsty and Tash Nelson in the saddle.

Kirsty, having shown throughout her childhood, appeared on the Arab scene at the age of 14 with her Novice Stallion Nejmeh Sharaza who was owned by her mother Vivienne Nelson. The combination had many successes including winning at Haydock Park in 1997 and competing at Horse of the Year Show together 5 times. This led to Kirsty producing horses full time for the show ring and gaining many titles. She has qualified multiple times for Horse of the Year show and on more than one occasion took three separate horses there in the same year!

Meanwhile Tash was building her own career in the equine world. Having had a passion for dressage and eventing at a young age she worked for a number of establishments to boost her knowledge, including working with top eventer Ruth Edge. Within that time she competed in numerous disciplines including eventing, showjumping and dressage. Her interest in Arabs took hold only after working for an Arab stud where Tash took on the ride of Miss Debutant owned by Linda Hughes. The pair went on to qualify for HOYS in 2014 and from then on, the showing bug was well and truly caught!

Together Kirsty and Tash have collected numerous ribbons including multiple HOYS qualifications, twice achieving top mare at HOYS, several Novice Championship titles, Bronze Novice British National Champion and Open British National Champion Mare.
